f) to act as the official member association representing BC at Floorball Canada Clean Air DayClean Air Day is a focal point for information and action on clean air and climate change issues. The Government of Canada proclaimed Clean Air Day in 1999 in response to requests from community-based environmental, health and transportation groups, and nation-wide activities continue to emphasize a grassroots approach. Clean Air Day is held each year in early June on the Wednesday of Canadian Environment Week. Cypress Park Little LeagueCypress Park Little League (CPLL) is a non-profit society established for the purpose of operating a Little League Baseball program in the western portion of West Vancouver, Lions Bay and Bowen Island. CPLL's 9 Divisions (approx. 400 players, ages 5 to 18) encompass various age and skill levels. Male and Femlae players are able to participate.
League Boundaries: Cypress Park Little League baseball (T-Ball through Big League divisions) is open to all children 5 to 18 years of age living west of Rogers Creek (located between 28th and 29th Streets) to Lions Bay and including Bowen Island. Dan Miscisco's All Star Sports CampsThis is the 41st year of Dynamic Dan Miscisco's popular sports and learning camps. While skills development is the major objective, Dan's other goal is for everyone to have a fun-filled experience. The fantastic sponsor team allows for many treats, incentives and on-going motivation. This special anniversary summer will offer some extra surprises. Dhana's Yoga'Little Feet Kids Yoga' evolved out of Dhana's two passions - children and yoga. Hollyburn Sailing ClubHollyburn Sailing Club began operation in 1963 with the main objective of training North Shore children in “seamanship”. With the blessing of the District and the West Vancouver Parks and Recreation Commission the HSC has operated out of Ambleside Park for almost 50 years training over 10,000 individuals. Our training programs have expanded to include adult sailing and kayaking lessons. Hollyburn sailors have achieved Olympic status, competed in numerous World Championships and raced in the America’s Cup. Stardust Kids On WheelsSince 1981, Stardust (originally Stardust Enterprises, now Stardust Kids on Wheels) has been visiting local elementary schools to teach children roller skating during their P.E. classes. Our instructors visit each school for one, two or three weeks (depending on the population of the school) and teach basic skating skills and safety rules both for indoor and outdoor skating. We supply the instructor, skates and, if requested, helmets. We visit approximately five or six schools each week and run the program September through June of each year. Between 1981 - 2008, we have been booked in schools in the following districts: Surrey, Langley, Delta, Vancouver, Richmond, Coquitlam, North Vancouver, Burnaby, Maple Ridge, Abbotsford, New Westminster, Whistler, and West Vancouver.
